This wedding castle was founded in the late 15th century to serve as a wayside tavern. The area was later converted into a vast estate belonging to the hospital known as Santa Maria della Scala. After the war, the valley suffered from a period of extreme poverty and the structure was abandoned. In 1924, Antonio and Iris Origo purchased it and turned it into a comfortable home by taking care of the wonderful outdoor space. Nowadays, the villa is well-connected to the surrounding areas so that visitors can easily reach this place. The famous gardens are available to celebrate wedding ceremonies, and the pool area alike.
